Recognizing tourism’s significant contribution to global carbon emissions, the Glasgow Declaration urges signatories to commit to halving emissions by 2030 and achieving Net Zero by 2050 at the latest. It emphasizes the need for transparent, science-based, and collaborative approaches to climate action, grounded in the principles of sustainability and resilience.
The Declaration focuses on five key pathways:
